Elegant, velvety, fruity wine from Portugal’s Touriga Nacional grape; reminiscent of port but lighter with rich, complex flavours including red cherries, berries, plums, herbs and sweet spices
A really delicious, elegant wine from the Semillon grape which, like Chardonnay, has an affinity to oak; it is very nutty on the nose with citrus on the palate and a lovely rich, creamy texture
This is a lovely unoaked Chardonnay displaying classic Chablis characteristics - apple and lemon, minerality and floral notes; fresh and light yet really smooth texture and a long, long finish. Delicious!
In terms of aromas and taste, classic Rioja - complex, sweet black fruit, raspberries, plums, chocolate, leather and spice with a lovely, velvety texture
A big Argentinian Malbec blend which has previously won a Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Complex flavours and aromas, smooth mouthfeel and fine tannins; a big and bold wine which is a good match for steak and richer dishes
A concentrated and refined Sauvignon Blanc, not the typical tropical fruit style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This wine was described by winemaker Anna Flowerday as a Sauvignon Blanc for people who think they don't like Sauvignon Blanc. Not too in your face but quite a fresh and subtle style
A Pinot Blanc with real character, complex yet amazingly fresh; subtle apple and pear bouquet with hints of lime. Lovely and velvety in the mouth with a long dry finish
Viognier at its best - complex aromas and flavours, really soft, creamy texture and a medium body. Very elegant.
A favourite recent find and great value if I say so myself. Lovely, crisp dry Chenin with hints of tangerine, lemon aromas & flavours, a touch of honey and flinty minerality. So much going on - it's delicious.
Almost a Super Tuscan; from the little-known Maremma Toscana DOC, this Sangiovese, Cabernet & Merlot Blend is Tuscan & super! A previous vintage was one of Wine Spectator's Top 100 wines; this one has 91 Parker Points. Spicy red that's a little too easy to drink
A Barossa Valley Shiraz blend - but not as we know it. Elegant and complex; full of sharp red fruit flavours with pepper & spice. No jam in sight! And despite the crisp fruits it has a silky smooth texture
Château Tournefeuille is considered a classic Lalande de Pomerol, Merlot & Cabernet Franc, with red berry & cassis flavours and more savoury and coconut notes as it ages, plus a silky texture
