A really delicious, elegant wine from the Semillon grape which, like Chardonnay, has an affinity to oak; it is very nutty on the nose with citrus on the palate and a lovely rich, creamy texture
Organic Chenin Blanc that is also biodynamically produced; a wine of substance with a lovely texture and a beautiful long finish. Drink on its own or with seafood, fish, smoked salmon or trout and dishes with fruit sauces such as pork with apple sauce
A lovely, elegant red wine from Penedès, very smooth with soft tannins, reminiscent of Right Bank Bordeaux but with Mediterranean herbaceousness. Over 19 years old yet full of bramble fruit and with a long finish, I couldn't believe my luck finding it
A big Argentinian Malbec blend which has previously won a Gold Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Complex flavours and aromas, smooth mouthfeel and fine tannins; a big and bold wine which is a good match for steak and richer dishes
In terms of aromas and taste, classic Rioja - complex, sweet black fruit, raspberries, plums, chocolate, leather and spice with a lovely, velvety texture
A super Rhône white wine produced from Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier. Quite Burgundy-esque in style; elegant, smooth, very round in the mouth yet light and fresh. My favourite white from a recent Southern Rhône trip
Classic McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon - blackcurrant, chocolate - with that hint of freshness from eucalyptus often found in New World Cabernets plus interesting floral and port notes from the Touriga Nacional
Beautiful Australian Chardonnay from award-winning winery; Burgundian style in its flavours and texture but amazingly light and fresh wine. Great value. Very food-friendly; pairs equally well with richer dishes and lighter food
A fine example of a well structured, traditional style Vino Nobile, fine subtle tannins, juicy fruits and a medium-body; a really special wine
I just loved this wine when I first tasted it. It's organic, full-bodied, complex and silky - apple, pear, citrus fruit, floral & mineral notes and more. One of Decanter magazine's top 12 Terra Alta wines & awarded 95 points
Really fresh and crispy style of Pinot Gris from Alto Adige in Italy; full of fruit flavours like pear and green apple. Its mouth-filling yet delicate texture comes from lees ageing not from oak. Fab-u-lous!
I loved this wine as soon as I first tasted it - intense, complex but elegant, bursting with flavours of cherries, prune and chocolate and with a lovely acidity that stops it becoming too rich. Very moreish!
