2 x Château Caronne Sainte Gemme Haut Médoc 2015
A Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant Left Bank Bordeaux – blackcurrant, blackberry, raspberry flavours and touches of redcurrant and liquorice. This wine is really smooth with soft tannins and drinking beautifully now. Fabulous!
2 x Domaine des Fonds Fleurie 2021
Classic Fleurie with oodles of fruity flavours like cherries, strawberries & kirsch with rose petal & a savoury edge, this wine will be a great match for gammon and can even be served with fish.
2 x Castello Tricerchi IuLi’O Sangiovese 2021
This Sangiovese is a Chianti-style wine but without any oak ageing. It is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks which means that the grapes retain their fruity flavours and aromas; the wine tastes of cherries with a hint of sweet spices.
2 x Bodegas Altanza Altanza Rioja Reserva DOC 2015
Classic Rioja with a modern feel. Aromatics, succulent fruit & spice flavours, good balance, light oak touch and easy tannins. 100% Tempranillo this is a great party wine – or enjoy it on its own!
2 x Guerrieri Rizzardi Munus Rosso 2021
Munus means “gift” in Latin and this wine is a lovely gift from Guerrieri Rizzardi. A blend of Merlot, Corvina and little-known grape, Ancellotta, it’s a rich, smooth red wine that tastes of dark cherries and plums with dark chocolate & spicy notes.
2 x TWR / Te Whare Ra Pinot Noir 2018
A long time favourite Marlborough Pinot Noir but this has to be the best vintage so far! Refined, elegant and silky smooth, it is fruity with spicy and savoury notes. Drinking beautifully at the moment, this wine is delicious!
