Delivery Information

1. WINE DELIVERY

Wines With Attitude sells wine direct and delivers to most addresses in the UK within 1 – 3 Business Days. Delivery is usually made Monday to Friday unless made via the Local Delivery Service (see below) or unless agreed otherwise. Please note that all delivery prices below include VAT.

If it looks like there will be a delay in delivering your wine, I will contact you to let you know. If you have a specific date that you require your wines by, I will do my best to meet your request, but it is best to call me on 0333 772 0301 or email me at hello@wineswithattitude.co.uk to let me know. 

Delivery costs are by far my highest overheads and because of the way the couriers charge for deliveries to different areas, Wines With Attitude’s delivery charges are split as follows:

 

England & Wales

In order to qualify for free delivery, orders for England & Wales must be of £200 minimum value (before delivery costs are added). Orders for England & Wales below £200 minimum spend (before delivery costs are added) will incur a £15.00 delivery charge per case. 

Please note that the delivery charges are the same for a 6 bottle case and a 12 bottle case; in order to minimise delivery charges, my warehouse packages the wines in as few cases as possible so for an order of 18 bottles you will receive one 6 bottle case and one 12 bottle case rather than three 6 bottle cases.

This main UK wine delivery service is designed to deliver your wines safely and as conveniently as possible.

Once the goods are ready to be dispatched from the warehouse, you will receive a Dispatch Confirmation. If you provide me with a mobile telephone number, you will receive a text message from the courier the evening before your delivery is due to be made.  

Providing a secure location or the house number of a neighbour that can sign for your wine helps to avoid any additional delivery costs which may be passed on to you. Please note however that goods left in your secure location are left at your own risk.

 

Scotland & far-reaching parts of the UK

Unfortunately, because the delivery companies impose higher delivery costs for Scotland and for more far-reaching parts of the UK, we have to do the same. We recently changed our courier services to these areas and base the delivery charges, as the courier does, on the weight of the cases. This is done automatically when you order on the website and is based on the weight of each different bottle. Effectively Wines With Attitude is just passing the courier’s charges directly to you. 

The aim is to deliver your wines safely and so the packaging used for wines sent to Scotland is extra secure. Once the goods are ready to be collected from the warehouse by the courier, you will receive a text message and / or email from the courier confirming collection; delivery will usually be on the following Business Day and the courier will keep you posted.  

Again, providing a secure location or the house number of a neighbour that can sign for your wine helps to avoid any additional delivery costs which may be passed on to you. Please note however that goods left in your secure location are left at your own risk. 

The website works out the costs of delivery for you but feel free to call or email for a quote, especially if your delivery is to one of the following postcode areas: AB, Northern Ireland (BT), Channel Islands (GY & JE), HS, Isle of Man (IM), IV, KA27, KA28, KW, PA20 to PA78, Isle of Wight (PO30 to PO42) and ZE.                                         

 

 

Local delivery service

If your delivery address is in one of the following postcode areas, I can arrange evening and weekend deliveries at no extra cost – please select the Local Delivery option at checkout and I will contact you to arrange a convenient time for delivery:

For all wine deliveries, please check the wines upon arrival and notify me within 48 hours of their delivery – by telephoning me on 0333 772 0301 or emailing me at hello@wineswithattitude.co.uk – if there are any errors or breakages so that I can arrange a replacement or refund in line with my Returns and Exchange information.

 

2. Delivery of one bottle packs and wine gifts

Wines With Attitude wine gifts are delivered by Royal Mail Tracked 24 postal services unless agreed otherwise. The price of the wine gifts on the website includes the cost of packaging and of Tracked 24 postage. Where we agree to use a different postal service e.g. signed for, special delivery or an alternative carrier, any additional charges will be for your account.

Our aim is to send out wine gifts one or two days after order. If it looks like there will be a delay, I will contact you to let you know. If you have a specific date that you require your wines by, we will do my best to meet your request, but please let us know when you order.

I will email you to confirm that the wine gift has been posted.

 

3. Delivery of gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are sent by email to the email address provided at the time of ordering; you can choose to add the recipient’s email address in which case they will receive their voucher once your order is confirmed. Alternatively you can add your own email address and then send on the email to the recipient at the time and date of your choosing.

 

If it takes longer than 10 working days to deliver your wine or gift voucher, you are within your rights to cancel your order – please see Returns & Exchange information for more detail.
