Cielo Zero Sparkling white wine is one of a growing number of wines being produced to meet the increasing demand for low or no alcohol wines. The Cielo family has been making wine for 4 generations in Veneto in the north of Italy and have a range of still and sparkling wines. They decided to put their expertise together to produce Cielo Zero in the same way that they make their prosecco but without the alcohol.
Cielo Zero Sparkling white wine contains zero alcohol and is made from grape juice – some no alcohol wines are produced from other fruits and can legally contain up to 0.5% ABV (alcohol by volume). Unsurprisingly no oak is used in its production. The wine is intended to be fruity and fresh and so it is kept chilled and in stainless steel vats to maximise the fruit profile. On the nose there are aromas of lemon peel and apples with floral noes. The fresh, crisp taste includes apples and citrus fruits. If you are the designated driver or simply want to watch your alcohol content, this is the perfect zero alcohol wine.
